Raszewki´s conceptual style of work does not follow a formal and recognisable theme. Since 1989 it is character-ised by the aesthetic reflection of the West’s ever-changing service and media society. Since 1990 he has been using modern equipment such as the computer and computerised production technologies that have caused a remarkable change in the structure of society during the last ten years. In the beginning of the Nineties his work centred around the German reunification and the end of the Cold War. The catalogue project “transit“ from 1992 made up of 240 separate pages reflects the increasing immaterialism of space and time together with its inhab-itants. The pieces “ja“, “handmade“, “transworld“, “features“, and “forge“ from 1994 to 1996 were characterised by the mixture of media, virtual, and analogue features and the ability of them to be manipulated. Through cooperative art projects like “StarDax“ and “Fahrradhalle“ and his conceptual and creative input into diverse service oriented businesses, the micro-structure of these mini-societies became the focus of artistic thinking. Hierarchies, individu-alisation, competition, decision-making patterns, goal definition, morals, vision, power structures, specialisation, result-oriented teamwork, task-force strategies, cooperative process work, mobbing, conflict management and the militarisation of civilian organisations are key-words of this thinking that allow a look at and a look into all aspects of society including the operating system called “art“. The cycles “syndrom“, “dienen und bedient werden“, “little vulgarities“ and “ich willTM®“ from 1996 to 1998 stand for this approach. Consequently, Raszewski presented his works under the programmatic title “dealTM®“ to hand-picked target groups, institutions, and public figures. Since 1999 Raszewski´s installations “NetzwerkTM®“ define by mimikry the content and the aesthetic frame of his art exhibition and art communication work. In 1992 Oliver Raszewski founded his aesthetic label “BUGIN©“ that was used in various projects since. He is the co-founder of the art project “Fahrradhalle“. Since 1999 he has been running the exhibition room “FahrradhalleTM®“ and the “Raum für digitale Kunst studioTM®/moscheeTM®“ with various curators by himself. In 2001 he opened the exhibition room “portikussi“ in the basement of the Fahrradhalle. He is the co-founder of “NetzwerkTM® Offenbach“.
